Patrick E. Mangan, ASD
Executive Vice President, The Sergio Corporation

Patrick Mangan was a close associate of the Sergio family for many years and had served as a management consultant to The Sergio Corporation through a key time of growth and accomplishment before joining the executive leadership team as Executive Vice President. Patrick helped to develop The Sergio Corporation's disaster restoration company First Response into a national award winning restoration contractor serving local, regional and national clients. He also helped to develop the Homeland Restoration Network which brings together the resources of more than 700 companies as restoration contractors and specialty restoration vendors that provide services from over 1200 locations. Patrick is at the leading edge of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Services. Patrick is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and was formerly the President of Mangan Group Management Consulting Network. He is a motivational speaker and trainer addressing a wide array of business, management, marketing, public policy, public safety, government relations, risk management, disaster restorion and business continiuty issues. He has extensive experience as a licensed Realtor and Real Estate Consultant. He also has experience as a licensed full lines Insurance Agent. Patrick is active in the community has raised over $30 million for charity. Patrick has received numerous awards including the United Way Campaign Hero Award and the Ernestine M. Raclin Community Leadership Award for community service. In 2008, he was received at the White House by a Special Assistant to the President of the United States. Patrick has four children.

Jim Overhulser, WRT, ASD, AMRT
Superintendent of Environmental Services

Jim Overhulser leads the Environmental Division of First Response. Besides holding a B.S. from Bethel College, he has received specialized training related to structural drying, remediation of fungal (mold) growth and microbial contamination: AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician); WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician); and ASD (Applied Structural Drying). Jim came to First Response with over three decades of construction and management experience. He has served hundreds of homeowners and property managers in caring for their properties. Jim serves our clients by managing our well-trained staff to rapidly dry various types of floods, to remediate microbial/fungal contamination, and in beginning the restoration process after disaster strikes. Jim had a key role in leading a team of over 40 workers to mitigate damages and to remediate gross contamination after a flash flood damaged the Kentucky Derby Museum at Churchill Downs. Routinely, Jim and his staff respond to local emergencies and prevent mold growth after residential and commercial flooding with mitigation and remediation services. Jim is involved with the community of Bristol Indiana as a volunteer Fire Chaplain and firefighter. He and his wife have served in short-term missions and have two children with four grandchildren.

Dave Wack
Senior Technical Specialist

Dave is responsible for leading structural drying on Large Loss and is responsible for leading the Biohazard Remediation Department. He is an expert in operation and repair of restoration equipment. During the Hurricane Katrina Response, Dave was substantially responsible for the coordination, installation, monitoring and teardown of all First Response demolition, drying and ancillary equipment such as air movers, air conditioners, DeCon station, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, as well as diverse equipment such as bunk houses, computers, printers, etc. He was the first line of contact for all mechanical, electrical, and technical needs whether it was directed toward our clients, support personnel or the home office. Dave's presence and versatility in following through on daily and sometimes critical assignments is essential to delivering effective CAT & Large Loss services. Dave has an Associates Degree from Indiana State University in Electronics and Computer Technology. He has twenty years of experience in the electronics field specializing in Telecommunications. Dave has four children.

Jeff Smallwood, WRT
Structural Division Superintendent

Jeff has been Construction Supervisor for First Response for six years. Jeff oversees the day to day reconstruction activities. He is a certified water technician and a licensed general contractor in the state of Michigan. Jeff studied Electrical Engineering at Southwestern Michigan College. Jeff has twenty years of experience in management, construction and sales. Jeff and his wife have two children.

Bret A. Young
Structural Division Superintendent

Bret has worked for First Response for four years. He is one of the Superintendents for the Structure Division. Bret oversees the reconstruction of current jobs and organization of structural employees. Bret's duties include everyday operations of the structural division, delivering excellent customer service. Bret has been in construction for eighteen years. Bret and his wife have three children.

Jason Veeck
Estimator

Jason Veeck has served as the Senior Field Estimator for First Response since first joining the company in March of 2003. Jason's background in the insurance industry has allowed him to proficiently estimate Commercial and Residential losses relating to: mold, water, fire, natural disaster, and environmental damage. Jason holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics from Ball State University, attained in May of 1999. Jason worked for four years as an accountant in the auto industry prior to joining First Response. Jason is a graduate in the Dale Carnegie Course in public speaking and has a wide range of accomplishments in the restoration industry including certificates in Water Damage, Fire Damage, and Odor control. Applying his degree in Business Administration has allowed Jason to work in all of the facets of the restoration industry including: Sales, Marketing, accounting, and internal/external operations management. Jason and his wife have 3 children.
